NJCDLP addresses a variety of social justice concerns, yet its overriding goal is to exalt America's judiciary while raising the world's consciousness of judicial misconduct; conduct that sometimes constitutes criminal activity (including intentional rights violations) and is inadequately checked by U.S. domestic and international anti-corruption/accountability mechanisms -- an oversight shortfall spread among all branches of American government that has evolved into a constitutional and human rights crisis.

The Plea for Justice Program (P4J), co-sponsored by POPULAR and its local affiliate, the Texas State Community Council, honored Matthew Stokes (center) who inspired P4J. A luncheon was hosted in Matthew's honor in Abilene, Texas. He was celebrated as a man of "Great Integrity and Faith".

Prestigious anti-corruption and human rights groups as well as bar associations have reported on the adherence of various judicial systems to the rule of law and forms of corruption hindering that process. However, the underlying studies relegate lay opinions on the matter to public perceptions. Missing is consideration of The Third Degree (TTD).

Lobbying of ABA to Spearhead Prosecutor Reform:
"Our call to action is for help encouraging the ABA to promulgate a model rule that hinders prosecutors in using America's criminal justice system to retaliate against whistleblowers", says attorney Zena Crenshaw-Logal, Coalition Spokesperson.
“Blind deference to prosecutors and their prosecution choices no longer seems prudent” says Dr. Sandra Nunn, a business ethics expert who became a national security whistleblower after years of decorated federal law enforcement. Dr. Nunn referenced New York Governor Cuomo, noting, "He apparently realizes that prosecutors may regularly thwart police accountability. Should we not acknowledge the possibility of them deliberately or recklessly undermining whistleblower protection?”
Marafa Watch
Members of the U.S. Friends of Marafa Committee (USFMC) and Marafa Watch (MW) supporters planned for an April 2014 protest outside the Cameroon Embassy in Washington, D.C. to commemorate the April 2012 arrest of Minister Marafa Hamidou Yaya as well as MW's first year anniversary. This is their story. This is Marafa's story.
Marafa is a former Minister of Interior and Secretary-General (Chief of Staff) at the Presidency of the Republic of Cameroon.
MW is a U.S.-based, grassroots movement for appropriate international review of Marafa's politically motivated conviction and imprisonment. USFMC is an outgrowth of that movement.
This documentary introduces viewers to Marafa's plight and seeks to explain why Americans should care and be willing to push for his freedom.
